Intelligent Transportation Information Systems’ Impacts on Drivers’ Decisions
This talk mainly focuses on the theme of “intelligent transportation information systems’ impacts on drivers’ decision-making.” Specifically, it firstly identifies factors that impact drivers’ route choice decisions about both the expressway and local streets based on variable message signs on arterial roads. Then, the generalized estimating equations method with a logit link function was used to model driver’s responses based on behavioral data collected from stated preference surveys. The results show that driving experiences, expressway delays, causes of delay, and the number of traffic lights on local streets are factors influencing drivers’ route choice decisions. Differences on drivers’ responses to intelligent transportation information systems also exist among employer-provided car, taxi and private car drivers. Finally, theoretical, practical and managerial implications are also presented.

卫军教授, 美国西佛罗里达大学终身教授，浙江大学求是特聘教授。美国普度大学博士,乔治亚理工大学硕士和浙江大学管理硕士。卫军教授目前担任两个国际期刊主编，包括SSCI检索期刊International Journal of Mobile Communications主编。期刊拥有100多位分别来自全球26个国家的编委包括学术权威和著名学者。同时担任其它六家SSCI/SCI检索国际期刊的副主编或编委。曾担任美国西南决策科学协会主席。在国际上共发表学术论文180余篇，并在信息管理领域有重大影响的国际会议上3次获得最佳论文奖，并多次获得各类学术研究荣誉和奖励。还曾在美国博士伦公司和迈克尼通讯公司工作,具有多年的工业界管理工作经验。
