Sustainability Issues In Global Container Transport Chains

摘要：
Containerisation has transformed the way cargo moves around the world and has a vital impact on the global supply chains. In this talk, I will first present an overview of the global container transport chains covering its status,development and characteristics. Secondly, I will explain the sustainability issues in transport chains including Corporate Social Responsibility, emission concerns, emission control areas, and emission estimation. Finally, I will present a number of emission reduction measures focusing on operational measures and container reusing measures.
主讲人简介：
Dr Dongping Song is a Chair of Supply Chain Management in Liverpool University Management School. He obtained his PhD at Newcastle University and was a Professor of International Logistics at Plymouth University Business School. He is a Senior Member of IEEE; an Associate Editor for International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics, International Journal of Inventory Research, and Transportation Research Part E (from 2019). He has extensive research experience in modelling,simulation and optimisation for transport and logistics systems in the presence of uncertainties. He has had papers published in journals including IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Transportation Research Part B/E/D, and European Journal of Operational Research.
